One of her films ‘Banaras’, a musical directed by Nemom Pushparaj will grace the theatres for this Vishu. Telling an offbeat love story in the back drop of Varanasi, the movie was shot extensively at the North Indian locales.

Kavya plays the role of a classical dancer in the movie, while Vineeth is a research student of folk dances. The movie is said to feature a number of brilliantly choreographed dance sequences.

Savitha’s cinematography is sure to enhance the eerie feel more amongst the viewers. Certainly, it looks like an era of ‘Supernatural Thrillers’ dubbed into Tamil. Couple of weeks back, Anushka’s ‘Arundhathee’ witnessed good response across box office while previous week’s release Prithviraj starrer ‘Sivapuram’ (Dubbed version of Malayalam Film ‘Aanandha Bhadram’) has won critical acclaims.

Director Venkat Prabhu has begun the shoot of his third film 'Goa'. Shooting for the Jai- Sneha starrer, began with a song in Goa. Produced by Ocher Studios, the film features Jai, Vaibhav, Siva and Premji in the lead, along with Sneha as the heroine. The introduction song of the cast was shot yesterday, choreographed by Ajay Raj. The song, with its characteristic folk tunes, aroused the curiosity of the localites, and involved 500 Goans as the director was keen on bringing in a local flavour to the song. The song also features Ajay Raj and Payal. 'Goa' is Venkat Prabhu’s third film as a director after Chennai 600028 and Saroja. Music for the film has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. With Yuvan’s music scoring high in both earlier films with Venkat Prabhu, there’s not doubt that Goa will also have special peppy tunes, with this introduction song just neing a good start.
