Siddhartha Basu, the master quizzer, who is now the head of Synergy Adlabs has confirmed the news. This show this not yet been titled will be an Indian version of ‘Are you smarter than a 5^th grader’, a show which was rated as the numero uno reality show in the US. The show will have adults as contestants and they will face questions out of books from first to fifth graders!The show will be produced by Synergy Adlabs. This is the second show of its kind done by Synergy Adlabs; their first one being ‘Kaun Banega Crorepathi’ series. Now kids, this is your time to ask your parents to study well

We will soon be seeing Emraan Hashmi in Warner Bros second project in India. Their first being Nikhil Advani's ‘Chandni Chowk To China.’This time the Hollywood production giant will be teaming up with Tandav films. Emraan is said to be working hard for this project and is getting an all new look to play the part in this flick. It is reported that Emraan will be playing a family man in this film with wife and kids in place. A new avtar indeed from his existing lover boy image. Emraan, on his part, admits that he is not quite sure of how this new makeover will fit the bill. He had already played a family man in ‘The Train’ which bombed at the BO. Emraan Hashmi will be shooting for this untitled film in Delhi. The film with be produced by Tandav Films and directed by Joy Augustine. Jaideep Sahni of ‘Chak De! India fame will be penning the script. Lets also tell you that this is the second time that Emraan is moving out of the Bhatt fold (for the time being, ofcourse)! The other films that he had done outside the Bhatt banner had not proved too lucky for him. Let us hope this film breaks the jinx and proves a smash hit for this lover boy!

Golden star Ganesh has surprised everyone on Monday by marrying the divorcee Shilpa a week in advance of his announcement. Between 9 pm and 11 pm on Monday (11th February) he tied the knot to Shilpa at her residential flat at Puttenahalli in Bangalore. This hurried wedding has taken place because of large female fans objecting to the marriage of Golden star Ganesh and some of them even threatened to commit to suicide in case he marry. The news that spread on Monday has made Ganesh and family to advance the wedding date by one week. Meanwhile the news is that Ganesh has married a divorcee with a kid. Shilpa's earlier husband Mr Vikram is the proprietor of a resort. Shilpa married an industrialist three years ago and she is with a kid. Shilpa moved with her kid to her new husband's residence in Nagarabhavi.

The legendary Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan’s grand son, whose name is also Sivaji, has entered into the tinsel town with the movie ‘Singakkutty’. He is launched by actress Sripriya, who has produced the movie. The audio of Singakkutty was released on February 11 at Sree theatre at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. The CD was released by Khushboo and received by Silambarasan. Sivaji is the son of Meena Ramkumar and is the nephew of Sripriya. Many celebrities in the film world attended the function to bless the young actor from the prestigious Sivaji family. Radhika, Kushboo, Sangeetha, K.S. Ravikumar, Radha Ravi, Sivasakthi Pandian, Silambarasan, and Jinnah attended the function and delivered speeches blessing the young boy and praising the efforts of Director A. Venkatesh. Venkatesh, who welcomed everyone briefed about the experience of launching Sivaji Ganesan’s grand son. The director, who has given hits as ‘Bhagavathy’ (Vijay), ‘Aei’ and ‘Chanakya’ (Sarath Kumar), ‘Vathiyar’ (Arjun) and ‘Kuthu’ (Silambarasan), ensured the audience that this film too will have all ingredients of a commercially successful movie. Earlier two songs were screened for the movie. Gowri Munjal does her second Tamil film after ‘Thottal Poo Malarum’, which launched P. Vasu’s son Shakthi. ‘Singakkutty’ is set for March release.

Balachandra Menon writer, director and actor has started work on his new film with a catchy title De Ingottu Nokkiye (Please look here). Menon is famous for his catchy titles and introducing new girls. This time, he has Sara, a Chennai model playing the female lead opposite Jayasurya. Jagathy Sreekumar plays an important role in the film. It is after a three year gap that Balachandra Menon is making a film and he says “De Ingottu Nokkiye is a family story set against a political milieu, which has family politics and family in politics". Menon is making a film loaded with references to current political happenings and told in his own humorous way. Jagathy Sreekumar plays Vettikadu Sadasivan, a political leader who looks like the great legendary Tamil actor turned politician MGR in the films stills. Says Balachandra Menon: " It is a different type of film I'm making, which I'm sure people will accept warmly." De Ingottu Nokkiye is due for Vishu release and has music by M.Jayachandran and is being produced by A.V Anoop.

Meera Jasmine has confessed to a leading Malayalam newspaper about her "deep love and feelings" for Mandolin U.Rajesh, brother of Mandolin U.Srinivasan. Meera confessed in the interview: "It is all destiny and I believe that God has been kind to me and showered blessings on me. I was bewitched watching Rajesh playing the mandolin in front of thousands of people. I'm nobody in front of this talented musician and I believe that Rajesh is god's gift to me." Later at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram she was all praise for Rajesh and said-"I' am enjoying total peace with myself and I 'm grateful to God for that.” Meera for a change looked extremely happy and contended and did not blame the media for a change. Later Meera went to Theni for the shoot of her new Malayalam film with Mohanlal directed by veteran Sathyan Anthikad whose last three films also featured her as the heroine. Her recent ‘Om Shanthi Om’ again with SRK playing the lead has been declared as one of the biggest hits of Bollywood. Poor Nayantara. Looks like controversies like this Malayalee belle. First it was the pictures of her with her ex-beau Simbu doing the rounds on the Net. Then of course, it was the bikini scene in 'Billa'. Now, the hottest rumours in the Tamil film industry are about her alleged relationship with her co-star Vishal. But this time, Nayantara decided not to keep quite for too long. She has denied the affair and says it is a figment of imagination. For now, the Vishal and Nayantara are shooting for 'Salute'.

Tamil cinema industry seems to welcome ladies in the technical front with open arms. The latest to enter this wing is actress-presenter Kushboo Sunder who is planning to produce four films under her banner. The lady has short listed two heroes for her project. One is the young and upcoming Bharath and the other is comedy star Vivek. Right now Bharath seems to be very busy with almost four films under his name like 'Seval' with director Hari, ‘Muniyandi, Viliangiyal Moondaram Aandu’ and one film each with director Perarasu and with director Suresh Krishna. Bharath is said to take Kushboo’s film after he completes these four films that he has already committed to. But at the same time actor Vivek is said to have immediately given his call sheet to Kushboo. Vivek’s film ‘Solli Adippen’ that had faced a lot of hiccups during its making is all set to be released. Incidentally, a case filed on Kushboo during an incident that happened at the launch of Parthiban’s ‘Vallamai Tharayo’ has been dropped, much to the relief of the actor. Seems like lady luck is favoring Kushboo lately!

Ace Tamil actor Sathyaraj is planning to appear in the lead of a Malayalam film. The veteran actor will play the hero in the new film titled 'Show' directed by Nizar. This is the first time, Sathyaraj is planning to have a go in any of the languages other than Tamil in his lengthy career in cinema which extends to around three decades. Kalabhavan Mani will support Sathyaraj in a pivotal role in this film. 'Notebook' fame Maria will be in the female lead. The director is now in the lookout for a lady heroine to pair up with the veteran actor. 'Show' in all probabilities will start its shooting by the end of next month.

After donning the role of powerful police officers in half a dozen movies, Prithviraj is finally planning to rob the ATM's all over Kerala. He will be a high-tech thief, specialized in ATM robberies in the new film scripted by Sachi -Sethu. The movie which is tentatively tiled as 'Robinhood' will be directed by veteran Joshy. All other superstars of Malayalam cinema had been in role of a thief, at some point of their career. And in the case of Dileep it was his similar role on 'Meesa Madhavan' which catapulted him to the door of stardom. Now that Prithviraj is also going for a similar character, all eyes are on the project to have a look, what differences the young star can offer to the presentations.
